art 1

Express Yourself Art Camp , K-2 & 3-5
Rockford Elementary School, Melissa Simpson

“We had a blast at art camp!  We packed a lot into 4 days.  My goal was to introduce new experiences to my students that they can get excited about and use in their future art.  We learned lots of new techniques and processes.  Color theory, learned how we see color in light, recycling, and creating lines with threads (embroidery) were some of the things taught this week.  Appreciating each other’s differences in their art and in the art studio came easily for these campers.  Hopefully, everyone will find a way to incorporate art into their summer activities.” -Melissa Simpson
