
SCHS’s Student Council Car Wash is next Friday, October 20, from 2:30-5:30 in front of SCHS. It is a donations-only event. The fundraiser will be used to help our Student Council fund various projects throughout the school year. Special thanks to Kaylin Moody for making the flier.

Today our GROW Strong team ended practice with some strength yoga led by Coach Lanie. Nothing like ending the day working on flexibility with a challenge.







Mrs. Hendrix's fourth-grade students participated in a prize walk. They walked around and stopped at an answer. They had to solve a multi-digit multiplication problem and they won a prize if they were at the correct product. Way to go Gators!

This is Mrs. Waters calling with weekly news. Monday will be day 5 in our specials rotation. Monday night we will have a Boy Scout interest meeting in the cafeteria at 5:30. Scholarships are available for eligible students. Our robotics team will practice on Monday and Wednesday after school and GROW Strong will practice on Tuesday and Thursday. On Tuesday, October 10, we will have Dairy Queen Spirit Night. RES will receive a portion of all proceeds, dine in and take out, between 5:30-9:00. Also on Tuesday our Chorus students will practice after school and our PTO will meet at 5:30 in the media center. On Wednesday our 3rd grade students will travel to The Farm. All parents who have not completed their annual student enrollment update should log in to the parent portal and complete this as soon as possible. It is crucial that we have up-to-date contact information for all students. We will dismiss school at 1:00 on Thursday and there will be no school for students on Friday, October 13th. The 5th-grade girls' group made certificates for each other based on the kind, thoughtful, and fun things they learned about them over the last week.
