Second-grade students kicked off SCS Gives week yesterday by wearing hats and wacky socks!
Special thanks to KDM Kustom Designs & More for donating this beautiful light-up trophy for Mrs. Fitzgerald’s PE classes. The trophy will be a roving trophy that will be passed from class to class based on which group can average the most laps in 5 minutes. #fitgators #mostlapsrun

Good morning Gators! This is Mrs. Waters with weekly news. Monday will be day 2 in our specials rotation. Our PTO will have a Halloween Smencil sale tomorrow. Sales will start after morning announcements and items are $1. Our robotics team will practice on Monday and Wednesday after school and GROW Strong will practice on Tuesday and Thursday. Also on Tuesday, our art club will meet after school, and on Friday after school, our SAVE Promise club will meet. Please make sure your child has a note to stay for these activities. Our Student Council will be selling Boo Grams on Tuesday and Wednesday. They will be $.50 each and include a sucker with a personalized note. Thursday, October 26th will be our pumpkin decorating contest. We can’t wait to see what our students have created! Finally, this week we will have spirit week to raise money for the SCS Education Foundation. The cost to participate is $1 for each day of participation. Hello, Rockford Gators! This is a reminder to parents with students in 4th grade, 5th grade, and chorus. The 4/5 PTO program will take place in the RES gym on Thursday, October 19th. It begins at 6 o'clock. Please have your students come to the music room at 5:30 to line up.
Remember that we are still selling front-row seat reservations for $10 dollars. There is a limited number of seats, and they are first come first served. If you wish to purchase a seat, please send the money to the school with your child along with a note of how many seats you wish to reserve. All proceeds will go towards the music and chorus program. Thank you!
