We are extremely proud of the students who represented PMMS at the International HOSA competition in Houston, Texas last week. Congratulations to Emilynn Haymore who placed in the top 10 in prepared speaking! A huge thank you to Ms. Davis for sponsoring our HOSA program at PMMS! Go Ravens!!!

Today, our dedicated bus drivers returned their buses for the summer and enjoyed a well-deserved Hot Dog Celebration at the Bus Garage. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to relax, enjoy lunch, and socialize before heading off for summer break. Thank you to all our bus drivers for keeping our students safe and on the move throughout the school year. On Wednesday, winners of the Superintendent's Art Contest in March were treated to a field trip reward for all of their hard work! The day consisted of African Drum lessons provided by Living Rhythms, a tour of the Andy Griffith Playhouse and Museum, and an art workshop! 🪘🎨🎭

On Tuesday, Pilot Mountain Middle School hosted the East District Spectrum Concert for middle and high school students. 🎼🎷🥁
The event featured performances from students at Pilot Mountain Middle School and East Surry High School led by their band director, Mr. Matthew Trice. The solos and selections allowed audience members to see the full spectrum of skills and talents that band programs nurture. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible! #ThriveSCS

May 6th-10th is Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week at Pilot Mountain Middle School. Please take the time to let your child’s teachers and our staff know how much they are appreciated.
There will be a band concert on Tuesday, May 7th at 7:00 pm.
The Reading EOG for 6th-8th grade will take place on Tuesday, May 14th and the Math EOG for 6th-8th grade will take place on Wednesday, May 15th. The Science EOG for 8th grade will take place on Thursday, May 16th. Our End of Year Awards Day will take place on May 22nd. We will start with 8th grade at 8:30 am, followed by 6th grade at 10:30 am, and finish with 7th grade at 11:45 am.

PMMS Softball celebrated eighth graders during their final home game on Monday. Kaidence Wood, Khloe Wall, Stella Thomas, Myiah Frye, and London Watson were honored for their unwavering dedication and contributions to the team.
