In an electrifying clash that had fans on the edge of their seats, the Pilot Mountain Middle School soccer teams secured a resounding double victory against Mount Airy, in both girls and boys.
The PMMS girls started the evening with a commanding 3-0 victory. Lexzi Chavez scored the first goal with Brooke Collins and Piper Halstead each scoring a goal. The defense stood strong not allowing MA in the net the entire game.
Following the girls' triumph, it was the boys' turn to shine on the field. The PMMS Boys Soccer Team delivered an electrifying performance from the beginning, securing a heart-pounding 3-2 victory. Ashton Hall scored the first two goals with Xzavian Adame scoring the final winning goal. Aaron Angel-Ruiz performance as goalkeeper was nothing short of exceptional, keeping his team in the match and preventing multiple goals that seemed inevitable.

PMMS Girls’ Soccer had another impressive win today against Southeastern Middle School with a score of 3-0. Brooke Collins finished the game with 2 goals and Piper Halstead scored 1. Goals would not have been possible without the assists from Lexzi Chavez, Schaelyn Chavez and Nicole Caro. Sophia Newsom also made her presence known in the midfield.
The PMMS boys' soccer team, coached by Adrian Martinez, demonstrated continued improvement and secured another hard-fought victory with a 1-0 score in their latest match. Their remarkable progress and dedication to the game are earning them recognition as a team on the rise. The defense played a crucial role in maintaining the slim lead. Goalkeeper Charlie Speagle also made a series of impressive saves to keep the opposing team at bay. Anthony De La Cruz scored the impressive lone goal of the game.
