On Saturday, March 2, 2024, the Surry Early College High School of Design Quiz Bowl Team competed in the 2024 NCASA Regional Quiz Bowl Competition. The Surry Early College Team competed against other regional teams and came in first place. Quiz Bowl is an academic competition in which two teams of four students compete head-to-head using a buzzer system to be the first to answer questions read by a moderator. The SECHSD quiz bowl team will move on to compete in the state competition on March 16, 2024.
