Kendra Bruner, exceptional children’s teacher, was recognized as the 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year at Meadowview Magnet Middle School. She has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to the field of education and her unwavering commitment to shaping the minds of the next generation.
Bruner, who has been part of Meadowview Magnet Middle School for five years, and was nominated by her peers.
“She is known for her advocacy, passion for special education, and genuine care for her students,” school officials said in announcing her selection. Bruner “has left an enduring mark on countless students.”
“I am deeply humbled and honored to receive this recognition,” said Bruner. “Teaching students is my passion, and I am grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of my students every single day.”
Beyond her role as an educator, Bruner is also known for her involvement in various extracurricular activities. Whether coaching the volleyball team, involvement in the school improvement team, leading professional development and speaking at various education conferences, or creating the yearbook, “Bruner’s dedication to education is evident.”
