Last week Gentry Middle School celebrated Start with Hello Week. This is a week that is part of the Sandy Hook Promise's national campaign to celebrate kindness, connection, inclusion, empathy and belonging for our students. Students participated in activities like Table Talk which gave our students different topics at their lunch tables to get to know their classmates better, wearing green for unity and wearing our school colors to unite our school with Patriot Pride. Our Gentry Middle SAVE Club sponsored the week and different club members took turns sharing the vision on our daily announcements. School Counselor and club sponsor, Mrs. Hawks said, "It was great to see students take time to get to know each other on a deeper level. Life is all about connections and we love to see our students making positive connections with each other."
