Weekly Message 2/22/24

Week of 2/12

Good evening Bulldog families, this is Mrs. Templeton calling with updates and reminders for the week of February 12th.

Doors will open at 7:35 tomorrow morning and we continue to appreciate your help with attendance.  It is vital to limit absences, tardies, and early dismissals as we move into the 2nd half of the school year.  Please also remember we do not dismiss students from the office after 2:45 in the afternoons.

After school this week, our Book Battle team will practice on Thursday until 3:45.  Thank you for sending permission for your child to stay if he/she participates and arrange pickup at the front of the school.

We will begin our 2-week Fast Facts growth challenge this week and end next Thursday, February 22nd.  You should receive more specific information from your child’s teacher.

On Wednesday we will host our 4th grade parent engagement session from 11-1 and 5th grade will host their parent engagement session on Friday from 12-1.  We hope you will make plans to join us for these special events.

On Thursday we celebrate SRO Appreciation Day by shouting a big PAWS HIGH to our very own SRO, Officer Colby Roberts.  We are blessed to have him on staff at Franklin Elementary everyday.

On Friday we will begin our PTO-sponsored  Krispy Kreme doughnut sale.  Flyers with additional information will be sent home this week.

We are still accepting registration for Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year.  Children must be 5 years old on or before August 31st and should live in our district.  The registration form can be found on our school and district websites, or you can call our front office for more information.

Looking ahead, please mark your calendars for the spring break holiday from Monday, March 4th through Friday, March 8th.

Being a Bulldog is the best!  We appreciate your support and encourage you to reach out anytime you have a question or a concern.  Let’s continue to have a wonderful year of learning and leading together!  Have a great night!
