5th Grade Dare Graduation

5th Grade D.A.R.E. Graduation. November 28, 2023. The event started with a processional of our 5th Grade Dare Graduates. Mrs. Sharia Templeton opened the ceremony with a welcome message. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by our Student Council and Scouts which consist of Natalie Rincon-Torres President, Evan Gwyn VP, Madilyn Tenney, Secretary, Hanna Williams Treasurer, Bentley Adragna - Scout, and Braylen King - Scout. We had a Trumpet Soloist, Judith Lineberry, who is also a 5th grade teacher, who played Star Spangled Banner. Guest speakers Deputy Eric Latza and Judge W.F. Southern talked to the students about the Dare Program and making good choices in life. Judge Southern even brought his Dare book from when he went through the D.A.R.E. Program. Our D.A.R.E. Essay winners were Malakai Smith, Wrenzo Freeman, and Braden Kane. These three gentlemen presented their speeches to family, friends, and guests. The 5th Grade Teachers presented the students with their certificate of completion. Mrs. Amy Clement gave the closing speech.

Our special guests included Judge W. F. Southern, Dale Badgett, Deputy Eric Latza, Mr. Tony Hutchens, Mr. Kent Whitaker, Mr. Clark G. Goins, and Dr. Travis Reeves. Thank you to all of our guests for sharing this special event with our 5th Graders. Parents, family, and friends collected outside for fellowship and pictures after the ceremony.
