Central Middle School is proud to recognize Emily Johnson as the Surry County Schools Secondary Mathematics Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Johnson is a stellar mathematics teacher and is able to captivate the hearts and minds of our students. She builds relationships and trust with her students and their families as well as helping students gain self-confidence around mathematics. Mathematics is a challenging subject to teach and for students to learn. It is a subject that is skill driven and sometimes puzzling; however, Mrs. Johnson makes the impossible possible! She is one of the highest growth teachers in Surry County Schools consistently and we are so thankful to have her in Surry County Schools and specifically here at Central Middle School.

Thank you, Mrs. Johnson, for all you do for the students and the school community here at Central Middle School. You are admired and appreciated for all you do each day to care for students and their success. Way to THRIVE in the HIVE!!!  Bringing the STING!!!!
