Surry County Schools and Shoals Elementary School are proud to recognize Clara Anne Knox. Clara Anne won first place in the 2023 North Carolina School Board Association Elementary (3rd-5th grades) Poster Contest, which had the theme "What Makes a Good Friend?" Posters were judged on how well they addressed the topic, the quality of work, and the creativity of the poster.
Clara Anne’s poster reads “Be a lighthouse in someone’s storm,” which is a great message and something we should all aspire to be for those in our lives. Congratulations Clara Anne!
