J. Sam Gentry Middle School is located in rural Surry County, North Carolina, serving students from Cedar Ridge and White Plains Elementary Schools. Approximately 420 students attend J. Sam Gentry Middle School in grades six through eight. The staff at Gentry is committed to educating all children to be productive, responsible citizens, and life-long learners. Gentry offers opportunities  for each student to be successful. Students needing additional assistance are benefiting from our Corrective Reading Program.
